I know that my firewall blocks me from hosting, ( Or atleas tthats what everyone says) but can I take it down without putting my computer at risk? My friend has been hosting for 6 months now and his computer works fine. The only thing is my computer is slow, so will it still work? HELP!

  1. Are you on a router? If so I have setup a short video on how to open ports for pc gaming on my website. the addy is http://www.mojo2go.we.bs/home1.html its at the bottom of the page called "Router Help" Also there is info on settingup routers and XP firewalls on the info page

  2. If you are directly tied to your cable modem and it has no built in firewall then you can most likley host games but if you are going through a router than it has a built in firewall and you need to open ports 6112-6119 through your IP.  You will also need to set up a static IP, you can find a good guide at www.portforward.com
