How can I make it up to her?

My daughter's 6th birthday is on the 12th and we had a family/friends BBQ planned. We had to cancel due to the fact that I gave birth on early, am on bed rest and my husband is running back and forth between taking care of me, our two daughters and seeing the babies at the hospital.

I feel bad that things aren't going to work out. She's had a bit of a rough year and this party was something she was really looking forward to. I'm unsure of how to make it up to her. Any ideas?

  1. When you are off bedrest, Take her out and let her have the time of her life!

  2. u could make it up 2 her by giveing her a party in a week but invite her friends and all people she like but dont tell her u thowring this party let it b a surpise party buy her 3 things she dream of and make her feel so good taht day like shes on top of the world

  3. Plan a day thats focused on her. Clearly things have been busy so I would make sure that there is a day every week that is her day. Of course you cant devote the whole day but you can let her pick out dinner, what she wears, and let her have some control that day. Even let her pick out the babys clothes..whatever. Make her feel special.

Its good that you notice and are trying...

  4. take her to a movie, take her to get her nails done. (just painting, but it will be special because it's in a nail salon.) And maybe a new hair cut for the summer. I have a six year old daughter and a new baby also and my daughter LOVED this.

    Good luck and congrats
