I know I saw something about making your own bubble mix at home once, and I thought it involved dishwashing liquid?

I know it's really cheap in the store, but we're ALWAYS running out so I'd like to save the time, money, gas to buying at the store!

And is there a mix to make longer more durable bubbles? I know there is that mix they sell in the store called (Magic Bubbles?) where the bubbles don't even pop all the time when they land!

  1. stand in front of an open refrigerator and get yourself really sick. Pretty soon you can start making bubbles right out of your nose. It's cheap and fun. Or maybe just cheap.

  2. water and little bit of dish washing soap

  3. hey

when i was younger this recipe is almost identical to the one i made and it worked great:)

    Give it a try:

    Hope that helps

  4. u just have to experiment and make ur own mixture with different soaps and see which one works best 4 u. The big companies wont tell u cos its their trade secrets. I suppose start with the most basic dishwashing liquid as a base and start adding different ones to see the result.

  5. Use one part detergent, to 8 parts warm water. Basically, 1 tablespoon per 1/2 cup warm water,or 1/2 cup,per 5 cups water. Dish washing detergent works best. Keep these hints in mind.

A larger proportion of soap to water, makes larger bubbles.

More detergent than water, makes giant bubbles.

Adding sugar or gelatin powder, will make the bubbles last longer. Try 1 part sugar/gelatin, to 1 part soap, and 6 parts WARM water.

Stir gently, so you don't whip up soap bubbles.

Putting the mixture in the fridge, will make the bubbles last longer.

  6. I found this:

it doesn't use too much dish soap.

  7. Dishwashing liquid and water

  8. The magic ingredient for making long lasting bubbles is glycerin.  I am not sure what other home products might contain it except for bubble bath.

  9. umm,,

i knoe its really weird but i mix in a bunch of water, hand soap, dishwashing soap, and a puny bit of listerine mouth wash. pretty durable last time i tried it.
