Question:

How can I make money buying and selling college textbooks?

College textbooks aren't cheap, and just about everyone buys theirs through Amazon. It's got to be pretty tough reselling them, because the pricing is usually based around people wanting a partial return on their investment, rather than trying to make a profit.

And it doesn't help that, once a new edition of a book comes out, the old edition drops to a small fraction of its value.

All that said, if I did want to make a profit buying and selling textbooks, how would I do it? I know there are bookstores that will give you a fraction of the book's list value in store credit (1/4 from what I've seen), and buying older editions of textbooks with high list values and low actual cost and turning them into other, more valuable books this way, is about the only thing I can think of, but there has to be an easier way.
