  1. add an xr to the gs and about 500 to the displacement.

  2. Yeah that bike is pretty much what you see is what you get. i will say that it is a strong bike and should be plenty fun to ride.

They'll hit 100MPH like nothing so how fast you looking to go? After 100MPH everything is a blur so there's no difference between 100MPH and 175MPH anyway.

If you are talking about acceleration, then you could change sprockets to facilitate that. Downside is, you'll lose top speed.

That bike isn't worth power commander and exhaust. It's not worth the money or labor it would take.

Your best bet is to put some new tires on it, get an oil & filter change, new brakes, then sell it. Doing that stuff before selling it allows you to jack the price up and make it seem like you've taken excellent care of it. With the gas prices the way they are, people are looking long and hard for a bike like yours for it's awesome fuel economy.

Sell the bike and use the money for a down payment of a 750 or 1000.

  3. I am not an expert but years ago I changed the size of my sprockets on a bike & found this gave the bike more top end speed although I lost a little initial of the take off speed in 1st & 2nd gear If my memory serves me well it was one less tooth on the front & two more teeth on the back A more costly way is to have the engine tuned & also have the bores polished & up-date the exhaust system Have a word with youe local bike garage Hope this helps

  4. There are different approaches to going faster.  One is weight reduction.  Dropping off unnecessary accessories is one of them.  Your bike already weighs 180 kgs.  so here less is more.

Unrestricted exhausts can add a little boost but you would be making a nuisance of yourself to other road users.  Also it may alter the fine balance between the intake and exhaust so that would need looking into.

A better suggestion would be trade up your bike and move to a higher displacement machine.  An R6 from Yamaha perhaps !
