Question:

How can I make my Kodak camera act as a removable disk?

My old Nikon camera showed up as a removable disk. This was really helpful, because I could upload pictures directly off of it without importing them. I could also use it as a usb and transfer music/documents on it.

My Kodak camera shows up under Cameras, and won't let me access my pictures unless I import them. Is there some way to make my computer recognize it as a removable disk? Or is there some way to upload my pictures to the internet straight off of the camera?

  1. In your camera options you may be able to find a place to change your camera to a removable drive.  Your computer should then recognize the camera as a drive so you can send pictures or any files from the computer to the camera which now acts like a drive. I have an HP camera that can do that.

If you or any of your friends use AA NiMH rechargeable batteries, the second source link should be of great help in getting the camera and batteries to work much better.

Digital Cameras require lots of power.  Batteries may have a full charge, but will be viewed by the camera as low if contacts are not good. The LCD display is a steady load, but with extending the lens, focus, optical zoom, and flash charging; it is a heavy load. The camera can do strange things like shutting off with the lens out.

  2. try very hard

  3. Open My Computer with the camera turned on it will do the same thing the Nikon did
