How can I make my Rubbermaid container hamster cage into a 2-story hamster cage?

Do you mean like stacked ontop of eachother? You could try Tubes. And putting the Tube from the floor to the floor of the other container.

Or

If you have a big enough container and want a little loft area. Just buy a littler Rubermaid container and Put it in there side ways. Cut out a little hole and make a ramp to it And attach it however you want.. (Note i have never tried this but it should work)

I would try the second one because then your not distrubting the airflow into the cage.

I don't know for sure but maybe use PC pipe. You can make it two stories by put one tote on top of another. Connecting them with Pc Pipe. You will  have to get some type of end piece to keep it from sliding back and forth. They are called Y T and bends. Hope this helps. Sorry I cant be more specific.
