How can I make my Yahoo groups accept name.surname?

Yahoo gave me the option of using name.surname in the same mailbox as surname_name, but I keep getting group messages returned.

are you trying to email your group from your email address?

in this case, you'll need to use the email address you've signed up with, and not any other variation that yahoo allow you to use - although your email will work, your group will not recognize that email address

try posting from the group instead if this is a problem
