How can I make my computer display in Chinese?

My mom wants to learn how to use a computer, so I gave her my old laptop (I upgraded it so that it runs on XP) However, she does not speak a word of english and I would like to know how I can make her computer display in chinese (both operating system and internet).

Is this possible? or will I need to purchase extra software?

You can try to go to

Start >> settings >> control panel >> regional options and language >> change the language to Chinese >> apply >> ok

Everything should change to chinese. Some softwares may work under english.

If the option is not listed there just go to windows update and download the chinese language package at the optional updates.
