How can I make my download speed fast ?

Well my speed is 512 kbps, unfortunately I download a movie from Limewire It took me a week and Utorrent more worst its need 2 week.My download speed on limewire and Utorrent is abt 2,3 kb per second I have check all thing clean temp,cookies, refrag disk and scan spyware virus but I still unable to download fast

Please,can anyone teach me how can I make it download speed up to 50 kb or 100 kb ? I'm using dsl, one ram 250 gb hard disk..

ignor any one who says buy a faster internet connection, u will never get anything faster than 8mb over normal phone lines unless u live in a big city where people are offering fiber-optics. Also your download speed will be dependent on the time you are using limewire, the more people online, the slower your internet connection will be. so try to use it at off peak times if you can, evening you get a lot of younger people using internet for msn and things like that so try to avoid downloading big files at this time!!
