I just bought a straightning gel, and I use that and then straighten my hair, but whenever it's hot out it just curls up (like wavy curls) I wanted to wear it straight for the first day of school, but how can I control it? I don't want to overload on the gel either. Thanks!

  1. Straighten it the nght before and in the morning put the straighting gel.:)

  2. wet ur hair first then u'll need less gel. when its wet use a comb to straighten it or put in the gel first then use the comb. if u dont want the comb marks in ur hair use ur hand and spread ur fingers out and slide ur nails along ur hair but dont go into the hair.

    hope it helps

  3. Start with damp hair, and blow dry hair pointing the blow dryer downwards...apply straightening balm or gel and then straighten...top with a little hair spray.

(If you have more time to work on your hair, take a look at the link on my source!)

  4. Buy a decent pair of hair straightners with a maximum temperature of 230 degrees celsius with heat protecting spray, i use babyliss pro 230 straightners and Tresemme heat protecting spray, my hair stays straight until i wash it :)

  5. Straighten your hair in layers, and spray some hairspray that won't make your hair crunchy on a hairbrush and brush each layer after you're done straightening it. Wash and blow your hair straight before you straighten it, too. Maybe even try a straightening shampoo? I use S-factor seriously straight to protect and keep my hair straight for school, if you were looking for a specific product.

Hope I helped. Good luck :)

  6. With a straightener, but if your hair doesn't usually stay straight after doing that you can use smoothing gel before you blow dry and straighten your hair... Also hair spray will help to keep your hair straight. I hope this helped.

  7. Straghten it then dont move allllll day!!!!!

  8. with a hair dryer?!  switched on with full power...

  9. Read ALL this for good straight hair info

buy a moisture renewing shampoo to prevent damage from flat ironing it and to make hair easier to mold

id suggest Pantene Daily Moisture Renewal Shampoo and Conditioner

when ur hair is damp from showering, using the fine edge of the comb, comb it straight. put a dab [or more if u need] of the straightening gel in ur hand, rub ur hands together and apply it to ur hair by rubbing it on tthe front and back of ur hair in sections.

let dry naturally and comb it once its down.

u NEED a heat/thermal sealing spray for when u flatiron

basically its a spray bottle that u spray onto the section of hair right before u flatiron it that protects hair from the damage of a flatiron and seals the heat of the iron into ur hair to keep it from curling out

take a piece of hair ur gonna straighten, spray the heat sealer from the top to the ends of ur hair, run a brush through it once to evenly distribute the spray and flat iron it. it will make a sissling sound, which is NOT ur hair burning, its the steam from the spray. then brush ur the part of hair u ironed. it will stay straight.

also make sure u have a ceramic flatiron, metal flatirons will totally fry ur hair. Conair makes good inexpensive ceramic flatirons.

once ur whole hair is straight, lightly mist an antihumidity flexible hold hairspray over ur hair and then brush it. it will protect ur hair from humidity or being blown around from it becoming curly. make sure u only use a little, to make sure ur hair doesnt get hard from the hairspray.

heres the products i recommend for the heat sealer and hairspray:

    Heat Sealer:

-Tresemme Heat Tamer Spray [can be bought in common grocery/drug stores]

-Aquage Beyond Body Thermal Styler spray [has to be bought in beauty store]

    Antihumidity Hair Spray:

-Aussie Sydney Smooth 12-Hour AntiHumidity Hair Spray [grocery/drug store, flexible hold]

-Pantene Restoratives AntiHumidity Hairspray [grocery/drug store, flexible hold, aerosol hairspray, meaning it comes out like a spray can instead of spritz]

also, roller brushes work the best for straightening hair since they are so fine bristled.

sorry for typing soo much, but i wanted to cover everything!
