You can't. There are no scientifically proven methods that will make your lashes thicker. The only thing you can do is use makeup and/or fake lashes.

Someone told me they put a coat of vaseline on their eyelashes before bed and it makes your eyelashes stronger. If they're strong they'll probably thicken over time since they wont be breaking off or falling out as much.
