  1. This is easy....go on EBAY and look up vintage/ old/ collectors baseball paraphernalia.  They have old pictures of baseball players, cards, bats, gloves, and balls.

Friend of mine has an old glove (undated) and baseball on his coffee table which he purchased from EBAY and it looks priceless!

  2. I think maybe a badge or white color for the walls. Maybe you can find some posters of the old teams or something on ebay or craigs list. Maybe you could get some  white/badge material or something and use red paint or tape to make baseballs and put on the wall. You might could find some acessories or items to put on the on the websites listed above also. I think thats a good idea for a room ( i play softball)

Hope it helped give you some ideas!

here are some photos hope this helps

  4. What teams does he like?  I would pick team colors as a starting point.  In the 50's the colors were more muted.  Maybe do a pinstripe on the walls?  Find prints of some of the players from his favorite teams in that eral.  E-bay or posters.com  would be a good starting point.  Find a great wooden bat to use as a lampstand.  Mount baseballs on wooden frames to make bookends.  A base (old school) could be a chair pad, a home plate could be a base to stand a coat rack on.  You could paint numbers on the walls like they have in the outfield to signify feet from home plate.  Use your imagination--it sounds like a fun project.

  5. Vintage sports

If your son loves sports but you don’t like the look of contemporary sports stuff, consider a vintage sports theme. Such a boy room theme is easily accomplished by searching out old sporting equipment from thrift shops and auctions and using a comforter or duvet cover which features things like classic baseball uniform pinstripes or basic colors like tan, hunter green, burgundy and dark blue.

Old fashioned felt pennants, a collection of used sports equipment, a display shelf of trophies and framed vintage team photos are some great boy room accessory ideas.

  6. Try a darker muted blue for the paint on the walls, and then take old basball cards and have them enlarged to make posters, maybe you could even find some old base ball photos and do card board cut out and have a 50s 60s BB hall of fame theme.
