Question:

How can I make my underarms / armpits lighter?

I think its the deodorant I've been using. I live in the US and found that most products for this type of problem are found in Asia. Does anyone know any department stores that might carry products by them? OR do you know any home remedies that could fix this?

  1. There are lots of commercial products around but they usually don't work and if it works is usually takes 30 days to take effect despite their promise of 7 or 14 days.

Try potassium allum instead. It's fast, effective and non-commercial.

  2. HOME REMEDIES:

    - rubbing lemon or lemon peel on your underarms.

    - sugar waxing. [which uses honey, lemon and a lot of sugar]

    OTHER THINGS:

    - use a different deodorant. One that's alcohol and fragrance free. Also, stay away from things that contain aluminums and chlorines.

    BTW-

I used to have the same problem. But it's slowly fading away. This summer I started waxing instead of shaving, and then switched my deodorant. In the span of three months [yes three months], I've noticed that it got a little lighter. But if it keeps up at that rate, I think it'll be evened out by a year. Also, since you live in the US, the deo product I use it Mitchum for women - sensitive skin formula with vit E and aloe.

  3. thats right but im not sure what store or where because asian stores are small and dont have many branches in U.S but try to find where asian population is higher or any asian communty nearby in ur place. im sure u will find asian stores in there.

  4. solution: dermaline skin whitening cream or lotion for dark skin spots.

it's safe without the harmful effects of hydroquinone, mercury or steroid.
