How can I make my videos widescreen?

any idea on how to change it?

the people on the first video have a Canon ZR600, and I have a Canon ZR850.

they use Sony Vega 7, and i use Windows Movie Maker.

You need to record in 16:9 (widescreen).

You need to add a wide screen filter to the movie, but windows movie maker does not have such a filter, you will need a more professional software like Vegas, or Adobe Premiere
