  1. Your ceremony will be memorable because it is your ceremony. Just make the whole deal reflect who you are as a couple. I got married in my grandparent's backyard. Our mothers and my grandmother worked together to make the arch that we got married under. Everything was done by someone involved in the wedding. My husband and I even did the floral arrangements on the sides of the arch.

  2. Show your love for each other during the ceremony.  Look at each other, hold hands, smile lovingly at each other as you speak.

Flowers or decorations on the ends of the pews at the church make for a stunning entry for guests and lovely photos.

After the ceremony, you can let the guests stay seated as you and your husband go row by row dismissing your guests.  They each will get a chance to hug you, and congratulate you on your marriage.

  3. The two of just fill the place of the wedding with all your love for one another, and show it! And, write your own vows to make it special!

  4. Do something different like lighting special candles or having your wedding party line up around the alter a certain way. But I agree your ceremony will be memorable because it's yours.

  5. That's hard to do. The best way is to personalize it. Our minister asked us to write him a short letter explaining why we love the person we are marrying and why they will make a great spouse. Then he read them during the ceremony. Everyone loved it and thought it was sweet. We had not heard each others letters prior to that day so it was really beautiful to hear. We had them printed on nice paper and framed in our home.
