  1. When he barks, get 2 pans and make a loud sound with them!!

    keep going until he stops!!

For the bitting, when he bites yelp like a dog and ignore him until u feel he calms down!! IT'S IMPORTANT THAT U DON'T LOOK AT UR DOG IN THE EYE WHEN DOING THESE THINGS B/C UR DOG HAS TO NOT RELATE HIS FEAR TO THE NOISE THEN TO THE OWNER!!

GOOD LUCK AND HOPE I HELPED!!

for more info u might want to try watching It's me or the dog on youtube.com or on tv!!

  2. You have just said a bunch " we've tried training". You don't just try training, you must keep at it. Perhaps you went to a few training classes, however you must practise what you were taught every day. Dogs need mental stimulation, fun and exercise and they need this every day of their lives.

My German Shepherd is trained to a high standard, however this is not vital. However it is vital that you convey to your dog the basic commands. All dogs bark, however if your dog barks incessantly its because he is bored. He needs mental stimulation.

Children are taught what to do, however we don't just tell them once and expect them to be well behaved. We help our children to cope with the world and help every day. They go to school for a number of years and they learn every day. You are expecting too much from your dog. Go to training classes again and help him to cope with his life and don't opt out of everyday training. IT WORKS.

  3. You need to set rules and boundaries for the dog.  When he barks, tell him no, let him know it's not acceptable.  Don't pet him when he's hyper, that is rewarding the behaviour.  If you act normal and don't get upset, he'll calm down.

My sister has 2 monster untrained unsocialized dogs that she lets do anything - eat food off the table/counter, jump on everyone who comes over, chase her cat....the other day her female dog bit her in the face!

My husband and I went to her house and her dogs are very sweet - but they have no respect for her.  Within a few minutes of us correcting them and not allowing them to jump all over us and the furniture, both dogs calmed down and relaxed.  If a dog doesn't know it's boundaries - you have nothing but trouble.  BTW, you said you tried training - well you must have not enforced it.  No means no!  Watch Cesear Milan the dog whisperer on T.V.

  4. You may have "tried" training but it obviously has not been followed through or competed successfully.  This dog needs to be in professional training immediately, like this afternoon.

A certified trainer will give you tips and tricks to modify your dog's behavior, as well as socializing him with other people and animals.

Until this has been done, it seems certain that your dog will continue to be a menace to other people and soon something very bad will happen.  Please take care of this before the choices are taken out of your hands after he is reported as a dangerous dog.

  5. I don't have an answer really---but I feel your pain.  One of our dogs is a yorkshire terrier that does the exact same thing.  We have tried everything to no avail..  So when we are expecting company he gets locked in a bedroom for the entire time.  The funny thing is --I think he likes it, because he is also so nervous around people that this way he feel safe.
