Question:

How can I make puffy hair flat?

I've tried using a straightener and it doesn't help very much. I hate puffed up hair though I know most of you like it. I recently got a haircut and its short thats why its so puffy or "big".

I like everything neat. I'm wonder if stuff like wax, hairspray, mousse would work? What would work best? Do you have other suggestions?

  1. i would use something called a hair serum. i love the one that paul mitchell makes. it's a clear liquid. after you get out of the shower and your hair is damp, but not dripping wet, you put about a dime-sized amount in your hands, rub them together and then apply it to your hair. focus on the middle to ends (don't put it directly on your roots or scalp or it could make your hair greasy). if you straighten your hair after this is in, it should work better! good luck

  2. for one its probably frizz get some frizz eazer sun silk and Aussie have really good ones put that in after a shower and when ur hair dries use any mousse make it max strength i know it works cause my hair looks like a clowns if i don't do this daily and brush it with a hard brissle brush and that should help a lot

  3. My daughter has puffy hair-the kids on the bus did call her poof the magic dragon when she was younger.  She has not found much that will work.  We tried short hair one time but it just stood straight up and out.  Now she has it long enough she can pull it back.  She also uses a good conditioner just before getting out of the shower and combing it with a wide tooth comb instead of a brush.
