Question:

How can I make really good Mac and cheese for just two people?

The reason I ask is that this is something that both and my hubby love. When I make it we have to eat on it all week which is not good for our waistlines.

I would love to be able to make it, eat it with minimal leftovers. Thanks

  1. Make the amount of noodles you and your husband can consume during one meal.  Drain noodles, put back in pan add chunks of velveeta and keep heat at low/warm till the cheese is melted.  Thicken the sauce with a little corn starch.

  2. don't make it... go to boston market its the best mac and cheese you'll ever try

  3. Just make the quantity of pasta that you'll eat at one time;  with about 2 c. of white sauce; and stir 6-8 oz. shredded cheese into that until melted .... combine with the pasta

  4. boil the mac and cheese like regular but DONT OVER STIR  while its cooking or u will have mushy noodles *eww* then strain the noodles and add about half a stick of butter and a lil less than 1 cup of milk mix it in and add the cheese powder while ur mixing it in, dont mix it to hard or they will get mushed and wont be very good. *if ur having a hard time mixing in the butter pop the bowl of noodles in the microwave for a few seconds until u can mix it with ease it doesnt matter if the milk is already in) u can also add a lil salt if u like personaly i do. GOOD LUCK i loved it

  5. As everyone else has said, just use the amount of pasta that the two of you will eat, and you shouldn't have too many leftovers. There are lots of good ideas above! One that I didn't see (and my father swears that it's the best mac and cheese - of course, that's just one opinion :p ), is that you could also use cheese whiz and milk, if you like.

Just make sure you don't use any more pasta than the two of you will eat and you should be fine :)

  6. All we do to make Mac and Cheese for two is:

Cook The Enough Pasta for two people ( your favorite pasta will work)

i usally use wagon wheel pasta, shells or the fussill (sp) (the twist pasta)

After you drain it add chopped pieces of  the Velvetta Cheese Block and stir until it is chessy enough for you

  7. enjoy!
