  1. I've got a 300watt bass amp myself,

i got advised to put egg cartons all over my walls.

Apparently it works, they do it at my local music lessons place.

But other than that, best bet is to get it done professionally!

  2. Sound proof ... a very difficult proceedure

fuffy insulation is mare for heat and egg cartons is more to slow the echo or hard room sound

Firstly you need to remove gyprock(dry wall) and in between the wall studs insert a dense insulation approx 30kg/m2 in Australia we use Soundscreen rockwool.

After this the type of gyprock you clad the wall with should be of a dence material ,Soundcheck, is what is common in Oz.

    Repeat on ceiling and underfloor

This is a domestic scenario but if you go to your local gyprock and insulation centre there are many ,more  very dear ways to get even more sound resistance

  3. Realistically. Headphones...

  4. the only real way to make a room sound proof is to pad the entire room in very fluffly material and have spires pointing inward from all directions and walk across a wire mesh in the middle so no you cant do that in your apartment. thats what they do in submarines.

    i suggest headphones
