The coffee which I make at home never has the same aroma as the one available at Starbucks and other coffee shops. Can somebody apprise me about the fine details which I should consider while brewing my coffee at home?

I think the whole purpose of making coffee at home is to avoid using fancy and rather expensive equipment. I method which I commonly use to make frothy milk coffee involves a bit a hard work, but the end result is excellent. This method involves about one cup of milk, one table spoon of coffee powder, a stirring spoon, a cup, a table spoon of sugar and some drops of water. The first step is to put a table spoon of coffee powder in a dry coffee mug. Ten add a table spoon of sugar and few drops of water inside. Now start stirring the mixture aggressively. After about 10 to 15 minutes the dark brown texture of the mixture will start to turn golden. Give a strong stir for another 2-3 minutes until the consistency of the solution becomes smooth. Now boil the milk and after passing it through the sieve, pour into the coffee mug for a nice frothy cup of coffee.

Making a coffee is all about control and equipment. I have always been a coffee maniac and can’t start a morning with a classical brew. It is for this reason that I have got multiple brewing equipments at hand. The best among them is difficult to decide because the resulting taste in each case has uniqueness to it. On a personal level, I would recommend the French Press. Firstly, the equipment is completely affordable and is easily accessible in any super store. This accompanied by the ease of operation and quick brewing time makes it a must have. The main thing is to use coarse grains while using the press, otherwise sediments can float in your brew and ruin the overall taste and feel. If you don’t have the availability of coarse coffee grains (although I find that unfathomable), you can use the vacuum coffee pot. This device is however is little bit on the expensive side. Should you want to go for the fancier coffee types like cappuccino and mocha; the best bet will be to buy the house hold espresso machine.
