How can I make the cord to my rear satellite speakers longer?

I have a set of new Logitech X-540 5.1 surround gaming speakers. The cables to the rear satellites are not long enough. The speakers are detachable from the sub, so I could add an extender cable. But what kind would I need, and where would I get it?

  1. go to Radio Shack and buy an extender. May be male on one end and female on the other. Should not be very expensive, they have them in different configurations.

  2. you have to go to hardware store. find a cable for video and sound of vcd or dvd player. it is normally yellow, red color. now u need a extention cord. it is also available there. one head of the sound cable fits on one side of this converter. this way, you can make ur satellite speaker far and exactly where u want.
