The brush in Illustrator is called ' Dry Ink 1 ' and I need to be able to show this brush in black and white format. For some reason I cannot make it go the full black it only goes a lighter shade of black (gray). I need to show this item in illustrator because it's the only Adobe program I have. Thank you.

  1. I know what you mean. This took me forever to figure out the first time!

Just draw your line and get the strokes looking exactly how you want them, then go to Object->Flatten Transparency...

The shape will now be outlined and filled with a solid color. Just pick black as the object color and you're set.

  2. did you try adjusting the opacity and/or transparency bars for both the color palette and layers menu?

did you set the layers options to "normal"?

remember, the lower the percentage, the lighter the color and vice versa

    hope this helps
