How can I make the last day with my father(for a while) a bit fun?

Is it too much to ask my dad to take me somewhere fun? Okay, my dad is my least favorite person (I've lived near him for about 7 years but we only saw each other about 4 times a year because he wouldn't make any effort to come see me.) Anyways, he is not the best but I take what I can get, this summer he has seen me nearly every Monday (pretty much) because I am leaving at the end of the summer. He is really poor and so when he comes over to see me, all we do is sit at my house and play video games or whatever he wants to do. Whenever I make a good suggestion like going to the movies he shoots it down, I think it's because he has no money. But either way today is the last day I'm going to see him for a while because I'm leaving the state for college this week. And I don't want to sit and do something boring. Why does it have to be this way? It's so awkward, why is it he is like that? I can't stand him usually. What can we do today that is semi-fun and that he won't shoot my suggestion down? (Sorry so long, thanks for answering!)

You shouldn't make up your mind he has no money.

You had better frankly ask him why he doesn't like to go out.

If it is because he has little money, please assist him on the financial front.

I can understand how u feel. Maybe u should ask him what you guys can do or take him somewhere with ur money if he has no money. Or throw him a send off party
