How can I make the volleyball team with having a broken ankle a couple months ago?

i broke ankle a couple months ago and i got a s***w in it,help me how do i make the team??

  1. To the above answers, I would add talking to your coach.  Explain to the coach that you had the broken ankle and you are still working back into shape.  If you demonstrate a positive attitude with lots of hustle and you are teachable, the coach will add you to the team and let you work into playing shape.  If you hide the past broken ankle and your coach finds out about it later, you will not like the result.  Do not try to use your past broken ankle as an excuse, use it as an explanation.

Use an ankle brace, invest a little money to buy a good kind.  The ones with an "8-wrap" are good.  See the trainer and do strengthening excersises, and ice after every practice.  When you ice, ice 15 min on and 15 min off for about an hour.  If you find yourself just sitting and watching TV do a few ankle excersises, ankle circles, trace the alphabet with your toes without moving your ankle...etc.  The stronger your ankle the more range you will have.  Don't forget that brace!

  3. I would say go to psyiotherapy and/or use an ankle brace. Many volleyball players swear  by ankle braces, even when they don't have problems, for a precausionary measure-because they work. Otherwise, rest it up until the season comes. Good luck!

  4. I would not play for a while because you need to get strength back in them before you play.

  5. If your doctor has released you, you must have had physical therapy to rehabilitate your ankle.  If not, I would ask your doctor (I assume he is a orthopedic physician) for some exercises to strengthen your ankle.  If you are young, you will be right back in the game thru strengthening exercises.  I would also consider protein drinks to strengthen your bones.

  6. dont let that small thing let it ruin your chance to be in the team fight it. do the best you can.
