How can I make this sound great.

Question

I have bought some DJ equipments i.e.- amps, equalisers a crossover and subwoofers. How do I connect the crossover to the mixer, equaliser and amps in order to separate the treble from the PA speakers and the subwoofer since I have two separate amps. Please help as I really don't want to blow up any more speakers. I have also noticed that as a result of continious try and error, the sound from two of PA speakers has lost its treble.
