Question:

How can I make time seem faster???

I had a really rough, slow night. And by slow I mean, I look at the clock and it's...say 12:00 am. Then, about two hours later, I look again, and it's 12:10 am........

I can't sleep, because that would defeat the purpose of why I stayed up. Plus, I have to be tired enough to sleep, which I am not.

But this has been going on all night, it's now finally 4:52 am, and I need time to go by at the very least until after my dad goes to work(He has this weird issue with me being up before 9:00 cause he thinks I'll sleep all day).

Anyway, I need some tips as to how to make time go by really fast, because he doesn't go to work until 6 or 7, and at this rate I'll be in a mental institute by then...

Help is really appreciated.

  2. The only way to make time 'go faster' is to stay engrossed in something.  Reading, moutain biking, walking.....DO something.

  3. Do not worry, this has happened to me so often. With school and other tasks I have to perform not being able to make time go faster used to be a struggle.

    I now, listening to soothing music, stop thinking about time and let my mind drift off into another land or maybe finding something challenging such as attempting a dinner that may work. It really depends on how you are feelling and the mood.

    Right now, I am wanting sleep but my body is on full alert which is making it harder to wind. Probably I am going to try write a plan for tommorrow for tasks that must be done before my mother gives me few more tasks.

    Main advice: Just find what works for you. Time will fly when your not focused on time.

  4. i love reading answers....as they failed to see that it is wayyy to early...or late..how ever you want to say it..to go out riding a bike..unless u want to get mugged...etc..

    I guess just keep your life focused on the internet for hours at end!! or maybe this is a good time to organize...maybe your photos....write letters.  If you actually took everything out of your room and organized it..NEATLY...not just shuffle things around you will find that the time will zip past....if those dont sound like things you are dying to do....

    pop in a video, deep condition your hair...that will get pass at least 1  1/2 hours..then do your nails..

  6. Trying cleaning something, or watching videos on you tube and i mean like weird, funny, interesting videos. Exercise too. Read a book, something you like or a magazine....go on bored.com

  7. YOOOOOOOOOOUTUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUBE!!! Watch something that will scare you, make you laugh, make you sad, something cool, something that will make you mad. The videos that mess with your emotions are the ones that you will spend a lot of time watching and commenting about!

  9. i don't know what that is,  but i just day dream & of things i like. I don't try to do it but i leave my body & go in another world. The best way is don't care how fest things you want.

  11. First of all - stop glancing at the watch. That distorts your perception and confuses your mind. While the brain is great and unmatched in other species in it's ability, (when pumped to its fullest potential) it is very easy to manipulate and confuse. An idea if you are so inclined is to fantasize. Perhaps daydream a scenario where there is a giant anaconda sliding into your room and your goal is to get out while you avoid getting eaten, and then in the hallway, your father is letting cannonballs loose from the ceiling down and you've got to be quick on your feet on how to survive. Maybe go on the internet and research weird things on WIKIPEDIA!, like Hitler's preferred underwear brand or Stalin's bowel problems... Get funky. = )
