How can I make tracer or incendiary air rifle ammunition?

Ok so I like to use my air rifle (Remington AirMaster 77) to shoot cans and stuff but sometimes I like to get rid of old aerosol cans and like today I shot a Ronson butane fuel can but the little sparks did not do the trick to ignite the fuel and it just sprayed out. I really dont use my air rife for more than plinking so my ammo of choice is copperhead BB's as this rifle takes both BB's and .177 cal pellets. So the ammo is lead core with a jacket of copper just like real bullets.

Now tracer rounds and incendiary rounds are coated with phosphorus and burn bright red/yellow and they can actually light vegetation on fire sometimes but all I need is a small flame to light those butane fuel cans.

Is their a way to make tracer/incendiary BB's/pellets for my air rifle?

I thought of maybe grinding down some match powder and then using a little bit of wax to stick it on the BB or something like that and then holding an open flame in front of the rifle but im not sure so I came here to ask.

  1. Try this, it may not exactly be it, but it might do something:
