How can I manage members settings to insure they get the group posts/emails?

Members are on the contacts list, but from time to time report that they are not receiving group information and wonder if they have been dropped. Their email address is current and on the list, but they don't get mail/info.

  1. when this happens, you need to ask here again. it's hard to guess at all the reasons for this without specifics. many times there's a Yahoo glitc tht causes this. comcast had a big issue a few weeks ago, so the problem could be their own mail provider. they could be bouncing or the mail could be in their spam folders.

    all members with a yahoo account can locate and manage their own membership here

    http://groups.yahoo.com/mygroups   - then clicking top left Edit My Groups


  2. check their email choice - eg if they're set to individual or daily digest (they'll get emails at least daily), special notices (only the ones a moderator selects to be 'special') or no email

    also, check in their membership that they're not bouncing - this will mean that emails aren't getting to their chosen email account
