Question:

How can I maximize my audio recording capabilities?

I currently have access to a recording studio with a board (that isn't yet plugged in) that has 24 tracks, and a recording board that has four 1/8 input tracks, four XLR connector tracks, and I think 24 tracks to record on.

I don't yet have an efficient method to send output audio to the people in the recording studio through headphones. Info on that would be very appreciated.

Thank you in advance!

  1. You have a few options, depending on the mixer board:

Most boards have a headphone out, use this.

Use an Aux Send:  you could use an auxialry send.  Each channel has k***s for Aux 1 and Aux 2.  By turning this k**b, you are sending that channel to that auxilary.  Say you have Mics plugged into Channel 1 and 2.  Guitar in 3.  And Bass in Channel 4.  You can turn the k**b up on Aux 1 for Channel 1, and this will send only Channel 1 to the Aux 1.  If you turn the k**b up on Channel 4, then Aux 1 is getting Mic from Channel 1 and Bass from Channel 4.

    Get a Headphone Monitor:

This way you can get multiple headphone monitoring.  Just plug out from your Headphone Mix from the board into this.
