Easy, go to locations usually visited by the lesbians in your area (bars, social clubs, political organizations) and find someone that appeals.  The same way you would approach others.  If you must, as them about things that they would be familiar with at age 50+ that younger people wouldn't know (movies, music, etc.) then proceed from there.
