It's been four year since my great love and passion for writing faded, and I know it happens to anyone for any reasons. But honestly, How I get myself to write again?? (I've written many short stories, poems, and article. I want that feeling back again...)

  1. what things inspired you to write in the first place? Think about them. Whatever they were you get them to do that for you again. It could be a place, or a person, a movie that caught your eye, an emotion you picked up on. Don't give up your passion. I understand how that feels. I love to draw. I draw a lot. There are tons of times when I feel like my passion for it has faded. When that happens I take a break and something finds me again and encourages me to draw some more. 4 years is a good amount of time. Which means you probably have 4 years worth of things to write about. You don't have to start off big, you just have to start. Dig deep inside yourself and discover that passion you felt for it. Its still buried deep inside you and if you love it enough still you will find a way to give your writing a second chance.

  2. I'm sorry to say, but you've grown out of it. You can't "make" yourself have that feeling again, as it comes and goes whenever (trust me, I've been through it). So just wait a little while and see what happens... If nothing does, just accept that your heart does not lie with the art of writing any more.

    Good luck to you!

  4. Try this: find a buddy, or someone you admire, and have them dare you to write on subject they choose. And it  can't be something boring or silly. Here are the parameters: it has to have at least 3 people in it, and be at least 1000 words long [4 pages]. Also, you're not allowed to cop out by writing long s*x passages -- that doesn't take any imagination.

Write about whatever you're dared to, then let it sit a couple days. When you look over it again, expand it a little, by giving more traits and description, and adding some detail. Don't use your character's  first and last names over and over, and START the story in the middle of all the action. Good luck.
