I'm 15 years old and recently got a job at a Kids playland centre where you can have birthday parties. I'm not an outgoing person and I have a weak voice - I sound uninteresting. I listen but I'm not talkative. I'm trust very few people.. I SUCK at small talk. Where I work it's pretty much all girls, I think everyone's older than me.

Although i've been employed for about 3 weeks, and have worked 5 or 6 shifts, I'm starting to feel like not going to work. Since i'm a newbie other workers kind of tell you what to do, and i can't really say no to much things, so I do it. There's kind of backstabbing within' the workers - they talk about you behind your back and etc. I sometimes feel that they could be talking about me, and it makes me uncomfortable. This girl told me to do something (which I already did 10 minutes ago) and I was in the middle of doing something else, and I told her that I did it 10 minutes ago and she was like saying how her first day she did it heaps of times.

  1. kill them with kindness...just smile smile smile and do whatever they say, you may feel like a sucker but you will go home feeling better at the end of the day, and no one will have anything bad to say about you, if they start talking trash about another co-worker just reply-"oh i think she's really nice...pretty etc." it'll stop em dead in their tracks and make them feel like total hose-beasts

  2. Realize that if you don't go you will be fired.

    Thank you and good day.

  3. I'm sorry to hear that your first job is not turning out to be a good experience right away. I would say, give yourself a set time to make it work. Do the very BEST job that you can and be professional. Be confident and have a good attitude even if others might not have  such a great attitude. If after some time, say 4 or 6 months (or whatever you choose), things don't get better, then maybe you would want to find a job and work environment that suits your personality and talents better. You are young. It's good that you are trying and making some money. Hopefully, having this experience will motivate you to go to college and study something that is of interest to you so that you can get a really good job that you like one day. Good luck sweetie. I hope it works out for you. Stay positive and don't let grouchy people get you down, but be sure to stand up for yourself too (without telling people off). Just be firm, not rude.

  4. Lose weight

  5. try to think about what your getting for this,(money) if you have a weak voice and your working with children, try to scream or practice talking louder and louder. also try to boost your cofidence. Also try to ignore them and just do whatever, they probably went through all the same things when they first came(the backstabbing and everything) so jsut be niice

**I can't believe you said lose weight**
