How can I motivate myself to lose weight and also go to the gym more often?

Well Im a big girl. (Not gonna say my weight). My goal weight by next Year is 160. So I wanna weigh 160 by next sept. But idk how I can stay motivated. When I go to the gym, I feel like someones watching me. And I get insecure about that. I wanna stay motivated to keep going and reach my goal weight. I had my sister but it got to the best of me. and no she backed off. I dont wanna be lazy anymore. I wanna stop wakin up late. and stop being a big girl. How can i motivate myself to go to the gym and eat better? and to go to sleep early and wake up early like at 7am? please help! thanks!

  1. You're on your way already.

    The first step is to have a goal. Which you do. That's good.

    Everyday, picture that goal in your mind. Whatever it is. Imagine that perfect body you're after and that perfect lifestyle you want to live. Then remember that everything you do, every decision that you make will either take you one step further or one step closer to that goal. This is a fact of life. You're either progressing, or you're regressing. Nothing is static. No progress = regress. It's that simple.

    Now, go out there and start making decisions that will take you towards your goal. Ask yourself before you open that next can of soda, does my body REALLY need this?  


  2. I think this is a common feeling that keeps people out of the gym, which is a terrible shame.  Once I realised this, I actually wrote an Ezine article called Confessions of a Gym Junkie which I think you would enjoy reading.

    I hope it helps you get over your (irrational, but understandable) fear.

  3. Make really easy goals that make you laugh!

    Do weights that are 2lbs and less than 10 reps of floor exercises like pushups and situps.

    And just make sure you are doing it for you.

    To stay motivated just keep your goal in mind and why you want to achieve it.

    You obviously want to look better, feel better, and do things you couldn't do before.

    I'd try to find alternative foods for things you like. There are lots of sweets out there that are low in sugar, fat, and carbs. You don't even have to search hard!

  4. get a good friend to go with u or a good family member... (bro or sis not a parent) thn it will actually be fun to go to the gym lol

  5. Check out my website.  Its free and provides heaps of ways to lose weight with healthy eating and exercise and you don't need to go to the gym if you don't want to.  You will not need to buy expensive equipment either.  I train clients like you all the time that hate the 'gym' environment for different reasons.  

    This is not an easy way out though.  It works, but you must do the work-no excuses!!  

  6. drink 1 litre of mint tea every day

    use natural mint leaves, it speeds up your metabolism so you burn fat faster and is great for your skin

    it leaves you feeling refreshed and cool and it tastes better than most teas

    it is great for your teeth too
