Is there a way I can removably mount a whiteboard on a wall without using nails?

  1. Try 3M command strips.  I dont know how good they are but 3M say they do what you've asked for.


  2. If there is a metal wall (filing cabinet, refrigerator) in the room, you can attach magnets at the back.

  3. I would suggest putting it on a ledge if this is not possible, I would mount it using a tack on a tack board (assuming you have a handy tack board around the area you want to put it.)

  4. There are strips of foam about 1/8th inch thick with strong adhesive on both sides available for mounting. They are very strong depending upon the surface they attach to (cinder block would not make for a good bond for example) and by using more or fewer of them you can control how much weight they will hold. A drawback is the adhesive is quite difficult to clean off the wall should you remove it.

    In my experience, two small nail holes are easier to repair with a little spackling paste than removing numerous mounting strips.
