How can I not feel as if my boyfriend is neglecting me.?

I'm 16 and my boyfriend invited me with his friends to this little picnic at the park. The problem is that every step his friends took, he was right behind them like a puppy. Some other people were with their friends, but they still took time alone with their girl. I felt neglected and I ended up walking off by myself. I didn't say anything at the time, but I told him about it and I feel as if I don't want to feel like that again when I'm around his friends. Also, I would do anything for him, but it seems he hasn't done that much for me.

You don't need to do anything, he needs to learn how to pay more attention to you. It's not your fault
