How can I paint patterns on the door?

I want to paint my bedroom door. I want to add some flower patterns on the four corners of the door. Does anyone know where I can buy the pattern for flowers? and should I first paint the door? what kind of paint should I use to paint the flowers? should I paint the flowers on the top of the color door.

Latex paint to base coat the door. For decorations then stencil paint or acrylic paint. Stencils are at Michael's , AC Moore , Hobby Lobby ;))))

You could use stencils. They can be found at A.C. Moore or Michael's craft stores. I think you should paint the door first and then paint the flowers on the door. You can get paint at Home Depot or Lowe's. Good Luck!

Paint the door a base color first. You'll need to sand the door and use a coat of primer on it first, then paint it with your average household paint in matte or eggshell gloss.

Go to your local home depot or lowes, and in either the paint or wallpaper departments they will have stencils for painting designs on walls. Paint these designs on with wall paint in a gloss to match that of the main door color (I recomend that you get the smallest paint tin size they carry for this).

You will also find in the wallpaper section rub-on wall decals in many different floral designs. Instead of painting the flowers on the four corners, you could use these rub-ons. I've used them on dressers and walls and they look really good. Often more detailed and intricate than you can get by painting the design by hand. You don't even have to paint the door before you use these, they will adhere to pretty much any smooth, clean surface and still look the same.
