Im teaching myself Japanese because I need to learn it to a Japanese native's level in order for me to have a chance of getting in a top university in Japan. Im stressed out to the highest level so most of the time in French my eyes are glued on to my Japanese notebook studying Kanji. Im not failing the class, but im embarrassed in their all the time since whenever the teacher calls on me I stutter my french and have no clue what she is saying and what she wants me to say.

  1. if you are zoning out alot eat an apple it has natural antioxidants that make yo more aware of your surroundings

  2. The answer is obvious.  You're in French class to learn French.  Put away your Japanese and pay attention to the task at hand - learning French.  If its a two hour class period you have 22 other hours of the day to study Japanese.

Besides hurting your French grade and making the class utterly pointless, its rude to be absorbed in something else during class.

  3. Just think of it as an investment. Someday, when you get to travel in France, you don't have to stutter when talking to french people or when you're ordeing at a cafè.
