She doesn't want me to take it because of my "study/sleeping/eating habits."

I reeeaaallly want to be on the vollyball team, like so bad.

We're forced to study for 30 mins before we practice everyday, so I will get most of my homework done.

When I go home, I can eat, finish my homework, and then go to bed.

  1. convince her that if your on the volleyball team then youll be off xbox and facebook. Then like sm1 else said sign an agrrement saying youll do your homework and stuff and believe me do it or no vball 4 u

  2. Try to make a deal with her. Tell her that if any of the things she is concerned about happens with in a certain time period that she can take you out of volleyball.

It shows that your taking her concerns seriously and that you are going to try your hardest to succeed.

  3. I guess you will need to ask mom exactly what she wants of you ...and then set up a signed agreement that you both agree too. Then if you don't do what is on the agreement you quit. Mom is the mom...you will have to work with her!

  4. Controlling parents are the worse.

Ask her why she wouldn't want you to do what your really passionate about and ask her why is she trying to hold you back.

  5. Tell her that it's something you really want to do.

Tell her that it's a great way to make new friends and it helps with learning team work.

Tell her it's good excircise and can make you stronger.

Tell her that volleyball isn't really an extreme sport

(unless you get hit in the head with the ball or get hurt while diving but thats what knee pads are for silly)

    Well thats all I got!!

  6. When I played, I was worried that I would develop bad "study/sleeping/eating habits" as well.

However, playing a sport really helped me improve in those areas. I had a set schedule to follow and was able to organize everything and get it all done.  There was a time for school, a time for practice, a time for studying and homework, a time for eating, and a time for sleeping. I was never lacking in any area.

I think if I had not done sports in school, there is a greater chance that I wouldn't have developed those good habits.

One of the greatest benefits I had was that I developed healthy eating habits because I had a set time to eat and I knew what my body needed to stay strong for practice the next day.

Good luck. I really hope you can play; it's one of the best things ever!
