  2. First you need to learn what a race horse should look like.

Then you need to look at individual race records, many people also bet by bloodlines (not always the best move).

You may want to learn to read the racing form and determine if the track will best suit front-runners or last spurt horses.

Finally, and most importantly you need to become very lucky.

  3. By its personality, stamina, performance, relationship with it's owner, it's attitude and motivation.

  4. look at the form, look at which horse runs better on which ground e.t.c

  5. buy a race card guide, and watch them go round in the paddock. You can generally tell from watching them in the paddock wether their up for it (the gloss and sheen of their coats is a good pointer). Give it a try and good luck.

  6. get lucky or do your homework about the horses past. did it come from a champion and also look at its past races ..how many wins/loses

  7. Follow the trianer, wher eit is from and what it has won. Also find a really good tipster that spend their life watching horses. I have a great tipster, he charges thirty dollars a year and never tips a horse less than $10 and has a very good success rate.

  8. you cant its luck, thats why bookies are rich and punters are not, my advice is bet small £1-£2 on decent price 10-16, -1 is usually a good guess, no point betting on favs, my way you lose small but win enough for a good drink, when you do of course

  9. You need to follow the form of the jockeys and trainers for a few weeks/months before you go and put a bet on. you will see which jockeys and trainers combination work well together, and which trainers are shrewd gamblers e.t.c its all about getting to know whats going on.

  10. check the official rating, trainer + jockey strike rates at course where horse is running (racing post will give u this information) and if the horse with the highest rating is trained by a trainer with a strike rate of 10% or above and the jockey as a strike rate of 10% or above then that's the horse to bet on (not in handicap races though cuz the highest rated horse will always be top weight) try this out in group/listed races and class 2 + 3 races - NO HANDICAP RACES THOUGH

  11. Bet on all of them.
