How can I place one photo on to another to create it's own frame?

I have a spring photo and want to add a photo of my grandson on to it so it looks like is in that photo?

  1. with software program, open background image, then open second image , select around person or objects with lasso tool, copy and paste over back image, move into place and save as jpg, this could be done in paint,

    you could do in photoshop of others as well, using layers allows you to edit both images in one file, open both images, and select all and copy second image then paste over first image, save as psd of program format being used, you can then erase around person, resize, adjust color, and place anywhere,

    if you meant actual paper photos, suggest duplicate from originals, then cut out around person and place over other picture,
