I practice all the time and also take lessons. What should I do additionally to make sure I become extremely accurate when playing guitar - fast solos and difficult arpeggios.

And with practice - How long should people practice their instruments, and should they take breaks in between to help the mind learn faster?

Thanks

  1. well, it will definitely take a lot of practice. you cant just expect to get it the first few tries. ive been playing guitar for almost two years, so i can give you some tips maybe.

    keep youre fingers straight!

    concentrate.

dont get really frustrated even though its hard not to.

you should also check out websites like youtube and ultimate guitar. youtube can give you lessons. i did take lessons, then i guit and went on youtube. it really helps. ultimate guitar has all the tabs and chords to every song you can think of. REALLY IMPORTANT: dont always expect perfection on hard solos.

    practicing?

its a good idea to take breaks when you become frustrated to get more relaxed to play better.

    Hope it helps!!!!

  2. well start if you cant all ready playing with all four fingers this will help alot when its comes to solo's etc. practice wise no one can practice to much because no ones prefect. put when your fingers start to bleed then well STOP . trust me it hurts like f**k. other than that just keep rocking

  4. 99.9% hehe u funnie man!

All I can say is practice makes perfect and all your practicing has got you to where you are now.

Do some finger exercise, stretch them and they should get used to pain then relax them and play on

  5. you just need to practice as much as you can, thats the only way to be perfect

  6. Whhhhheeeeeaaaaa   Oh sh*t... I've been playing guitar professionally for over 50 YEARS and I can't claim to play with near perfect accuracy... and I practice on and play a Classical Guitar... I am happy if I don't REALLY s***w up a song when I'm performing... such things are forgetting I already repeated that section once... or changing keys for some dumb reason.

The more you play the more you will learn how to COVER UP the s***w UPS which ALL professional musicians make.  I know some VERY BIG NAMES who get lost in Solos and forget where to come back in or go completely blank on the first note or chord of a song... and most Singers don't really PLAY the guitar when they are singing... they are chording with their left hand, but they are NOT touching the strings with their right hand because, like a lot of people.. they can't sing and play a guitar at the same time.

I could go ON and ON and ON...  but get the message... NOBODY is 99.9% perfect... Even SEGOVIA had his bad days.
