How can I post a link to a website within an email?

Question

I want to send an email in which the person can click on the link I include in the email, and it will take them to the article that I want them to read. What do I have to do??

Also, I have a Mac.

It is the e-mail client (the program they use to read your e-mail) that makes the blue underline and the link. Some e-mail readers (like Yahoo Mail on the Web) are very smart and will underline anything that starts with a www or http:// and others are not so smart and require the http:// etc.

So basically it is out of your control unless you have a say in what program they use to read their e-mail. Just cut-and-paste starting with the http://your.link.here/etc/so-forth and hope for the best. One last thing, be careful of what you are linking to, like some articles in nytimes.com and other sites require a cookie or membership so your link might only work for you (since you have the cookie in your browser) or a membership (and the site automatically recognizes you but not necessarily your e-mail reader). For sites like those see if they have a "link to this article" or "perma-link" on the page/article and use that instead of just copy-paste from your address in the browser.

Copy the url of the destination you want your friend to see.  Then look for the insert hyperlink option in whatever email app you use and paste the url inside.  Hope this helps

at the top of your home page, in the address space, you have the link to the site.....

usually starting with http://..............

simply copy that link and then paste into your email.

once the enter button is pressed at the end of the link, then a line will apply under it and the word colours change....

the person receiving the email then simply presses on that link and is taken to it......there may be another way but this works for me:)O
