How can I prepare for a pancake eating contest and what techniques should I use during it?

  1. take in no liquids before the race.

    use no syrup

    medium sized bites, chew easy, and have lots of water to sip (don't gulp the water!) for washing down


  2. Why does anyone want to participate in an eating contest? It's gross!!

  3. Don't eat less than 5-6 hours beforehand. Don't use syrup as that will fill you a bit quicker, make you thirstier, and make the pancakes much richer. Foods that are rich are harder to eat a lot of. And dampen each bite with water to make it easier to chew and swallow quickly.

    If you ever feel the need to burp, force it out. The bit of trapped air will only fill up a space in your stomach. And, hey, if your opponents see you trying to force out a burp, they will think your ready to hurl. They will either get cocky seeing that they beat you or get sick to their stomachs thinking of barf all over the table, lol.
