  1. volunteer at a local shelter or get a summer job helping at a vets if your old enough, also another choose is if your doing work experience anytime soon with your school, then choose a vets or somewhere that is focused mainly on animals

  2. volunteer at a local shelter.  If you're old enough to work, get a summer job at a vet's office, answering phones or walking dogs, or whatever they need, so that you'll have letters of recommendation from shelters and vets when it's time to apply for vet school.

  3. Volunteer at shelters or start a little dog walking business.  Or a dog wash.  Umm. you're going to want to get a head start on science classes.  Definitely take anatomy and pre vet in high school.

  4. Lots of Science classes and also anatomy and physiology classes. You might volunteer to help at your vets place explaining what your future plans are, lot of on hands on  learning chances there, even tho you might be the clean up person more than likely they will let you see treatments,  operations etc. and if you are dependable they may advance you and maybe even start paying you on a part time schedule.

  5. voulenteer at your local shelter, that's always a good start.

  6. If your school offers animal husbandry classes that is a start.

    talk to the school counseler.

get a job cleaning cages/ washing floors etc (even if it is for free)  at your local vet.  They will probably love the help and you will get invaluable experience.

    good luck

  7. Volenteer at a local shelter but before you want to make sure you want to be a vet, answer these questions:

Could you not just be drooling over the cute animals and actually try to help them?

Could you stand all the blood and everything?

Could you stand to put down animals?

Could you stand sick or suffering animals that could've been run over or worse?

Could you do the very long years at school to qualify and remember all that stuff to be a good vet?

If you could answer Yes to all of those questions, then I think you'd be a brilliant vet =]

So sorry if I sounded rude but it's the truth. Working with sick animals isn't as fun as it sounds. (I haven't actually been a vet, but I don't want to be because it isn't as fun as it sounds)
