I would like to start a bug collection. I just caught an odd beetle and was wondering how I could preserve it nicely so that it will be presentable in a bug collection. Any tips? Thanks!

  1. Buy some type of clear container. Keep grass in it, and feed it but I have no clue what beetles eat sorry...

  2. If you want to reserve a bug for a bug collection, I would reccomend putting it in alcohole for a few days. Then let it dry out and after its dry just pin it onto the bug collecton and there you have a preserved bug. I hope this ansers your question.

  3. well you should try to reppresent the beetles natural habit.or were you found it then make sure you feed it and water it.if you dont know what it eats go find stuff from were you got it and watch to see what it eats.also put it in a glass container. and one more thing you should let it go  since you have no idea on what type of bug it is .and you dont know how to care for  it will just die. it will bbe much happier in the wild!DONT KILL IT JUST FOR YOUR BUG CLLECTIN YOUR MEAN RUDE AND SELFISH .WHY DOES ITS LIFE HAVE ANY LESS VALUE THAN YOURS.IT IS A LIVIG CREATURE.
