How can I prevent wet tail being passed on to my other hamster?

I have two syrian hamsters, separately caged, but next to each other. I think one of them has wet tail.

I have moved the uninfected hamster's cage into another room and thoroughly cleaned it out. and replaced all food and water.

Is there anything else I should do to procect my other little guy??

i bought them both a few days ago and they were momenterally in the same cage for like 5 mins.

could the "uninfected" be infected??

He's eating and drinking as normal and seems himself

And is it true that oats will combat the disease??

please do not go to petsmart for any of your products, they're the ones who are spreading wet tail to sick hamsters in the back room without doing anything to treat them. Click the source to stop it.

Clean his cage, too. You can try oats, it definitely wont hurt to try.

I hope your hamster gets better. Wet tail can kill them, so please get him the medication ASAP!
