How can I promote my Rome B&B website?

I need to sponsorize my website about accomodation in Rome (www.sleepinrome.it ). Where I can contact people interested in coming in Rome?

Has a start, you can optimise you site for search engines (it has many obvious mistakes at the code, has a page rank of 0 out of 10 etc. etc.).

Try to avoid sites that give you just traffic, they are made to give you hits on the site to show the owner of the site but can do you more damage then good at SE (you can be fined for that with lower ranking) plus the traffic you’ll get will not be the targeted traffic you need.

You can also contact other people that have enough people already coming to their B&Bs… and ask them for some exchange (links/percentage etc.)

The best way to promote your B&B website would be to get someone from a well-known travel publication or show to use it.  Perhaps someone from Frommer's or Lonely Planet or some such organization.  If it was mentioned in a New York Times article, for example, it would dramatically increase your exposure.  Also, Yahoo travel is excellent.  Perhaps you could advertise on here.

My fiance and I stayed at a number of B&Bs on our trip to Italy last summer. We used http://www.bed-and-breakfast.it to research various places. Perhaps you can become listed on their site. You may have to pay a fee but it might be worth it to generate clients.

Maybe you could start by sending e-mails to people you know with the link to your website, they can later forward it and so on and so forth and in a matter of minutes loads of people will have the link to your website. Another way is to print out a few brochures or nice fliers and take them to a few traveling agencies, you could even contact travel agencies abroad and ask if they could include your B&B. By the way asking that question and posting the name of your webpage is a good way to start promoting it ;-)
