How can I propose an adoption scholarship to Jolie & Pitt?

People give a lot of sh*t to Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt for adopting so many kids that are from various countries. Whatever your opinion of them, it's clear they would like to encourage others to adopt from third world countries. They have even said in interviews that they want to use their celebrity to bring attention to the problems of third world countries. I commend them for that - but yes, I still laugh at the jokes people tell about them ("are they trying to adopt the U.N.?!").

I am adopted and know there are many couples who adopt overseas. If Jolie and Pitt TRULY want to encourage adoption from lesser known places, shouldn't they use their millions to set up an ADOPTION FUND of sorts? While THEY have plenty of money to adopt from Africa, most people do NOT. The average adoption costs $20-40k! So, it seems that would be the best way! Any thoughts on this? I can't just email the Jolie/Pitts - so how can I get this idea out there?

I read in both cases that the grandmother of her latest adopted (forgot her name) wanted to keep her but could not afford it.

Why didn't Jolie pull out a wad of doe and hand it over so the grandmother could get her granddaughter back.

I was all for Jolie adopting kids that have no home, family etc.  But to overlook this woman and take this child back to America knowing full well the grandmother will never see her again is just heartless to me.

I lost all respect for her when I heard this.

Jolie may enjoy a variation of colorful children aligning her posh walls but I am with you, open up a few facilites with better living conditions that can help thousands instead of taking one out and then saying she is a charity worker.

I'm not sure, but I agree with you.  Maybe you could send a letter to a national magazine that has featured an article on them and ask them to post that in there readers forum or something.  Don't know that it would get to Pitt and Jolie, but it may be worth a shot.

I have posed this same question to people when they bring up how wonderful Brad and Angelina are.

I have had the same thoughts for awhile, but have no idea how to contact them. I would love to adopt more children, but can't afford it! One family I know spent $25,000, and that was for an in country adoption.

Why adopt overseas when there's so many kids right here in the United states that are starving for love. I think she just wants to look good in front of everybody

I dunno, but I agree w/ you if they want others to adopt so badly over there they should put  their millions to good use and help families if needed b/c while a family may be able to provide love and financial stability they may not be able to come up w/ 20, 000 or more to adopt! Therefore they can not do it!! Your idea is wonderful....maybe write oprah or something!

i completly agree that the jolie-pitt group needs to start an adoption agency. but i would also like to encourage people to look around in their own country at all the orphan kids and adoptable kids her in you r own country. all kids need to be loved and i dont think people need to be choosy about which country or nationality that the children are from aslong as they are going to a good home.

i don't think it would work. most people don't want to pay for other people to adopt
