Question:

How can I protect freedom?

I am a sixteen year old high school student and I have no interest in joining the military. There has got to be some way for me to fight for freedom (either directly or abstractly) in my current condition. Any ideas would help!

  1. Well, I'm all for defending freedom, but I also have tons of other things that I need to do so I just go on the Internet and try to spread knowledge and morality. I know it doesn't sound like much, but I really think that fixing our world up has to start with people understanding what's going on and why.

  2. All politics are local. You can protect freedom in your community by becoming active in local elections, volunteering for local projects  like your local fireworks display or littleleleague or community cleanup efforts.

  3. Prevent the draft to happen by supporting the anti-war protests.

  4. Educate yourself, politically speaking. Don't rely on one side or the other (or both for that matter) to tell you how or what your opinions are. Take on the responsibility of your own freedom. Cast your votes wisely. It is not necessary to "fight" for freedom in order to defend it. A non-educated, irresponsible, complacent public is the greatest current threat to freedom... not invasion.

  5. Fight with the groups that are working desperately to regain our inalienable civil rights before they are completely taken from us.
